Did i get hacked ???

I got an server whit my homepage on and im running both an HTTP server and a FTP server on it sometimes someone are trying to reach dirs like \..\Á\winnt\system32\root.exe or something like that my HTTP server gives them an 404 but what does it means what are this guys doing  ? ?

you probably did get hacked...being conected has many risks and having your own comp. as an ftp server is even more risky.

as we speak people are scanning millions of comps. around the world. my advise to you is get protected. you might want to install a  good firewall.
