Hi this has probably been said b4 but can sum1 give me the steps needed to turn one of my games into a bin and cue file then into those winrar formats with SFV files? Is there a specific process because all teh files on the ftp sites have similar file names like DEV-TTT or DEV-CIV3. Any help would be most appreciated.

OK, this is part of a tutorial that can explain how to do it.
Note: it was not writen by me.
There are a few ways to burn .ISO files. The easiest, for myself, is with Adaptec EZCD Creator. (Note: don't go looking for that here, you are not going to find it) in EZCD Creator, go to File->Create CD from CD Image. Change the box so it looks for .ISO files, and select your ISO file. Set it to go, with or without testing is up to you, and burn away.
Now you've got some other options. I still think EZCD Creator is the easiest, but for some people, it doesn't work. Other options include Fireburner or Padus Discjuggler. I haven't used Fireburner personally, but I have used Disc Juggler before, and it works like a charm.
Also, another extremely useful program is Nero Burning Rom. This program can burn .ISO's .BIN's, anything under the sun, almost.
Now on to the .BIN's. The easiest program to use is Goldenhawk Software's CDRWin. Now, in CDRWin (After it's registered! I don't need people complaining to me about why it only burns at 1x) click on the top left corner button to go to the burning menu. If you've done it right so far, you should see your burner in the white box at the top. Now, on the right side of that screen is the "Load Cue sheet" button, click on that. Navigate to where the .CUE file is, make sure that the .BIN file and the .CUE file are in the same folder. Here's a tricky part.... open up the cue file in notepad. It should look something like this:
FILE "file.bin" BINARY <-------* TRACK 01 MODE1/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00
That first line is where everyone gets messed up on their first ISOs. If it says anything like:
"FILE "C:\here\there\anywhere\file.bin" BINARY"
That's your problem. REMOVE ANY SORT OF DIRECTORY INFORMATION. It should read like it does up above by the star. If the directory information is incorrect, it won't burn at all, it'll tell you something like "C:\here\there\anywhere\file.bin : File Not Found" and that sucks.
Now that you've have the cue file all set up, click on the "Start Recording" button, and provided that your burner and your media don't suck, you've got a CD.
As an alternative to CDRWin, Nero can also burn .BIN files, but it's kind of hidden in the program. Once I get Nero installed, I'll come back and fix this section with specific instructions.
Now, there's another option for those who can't get any of the above to work... That is: extracting the files from the compressed form and burn them separately. If you start with an .ISO file, skip the next few lines. If you start with a .BIN/.CUE combo, keep reading.
Ok, so now you've got a .BIN/.CUE combo, and your burner isn't supported. Get bin2iso To use it, unzip it to the dir with the .BIN/.CUE combo and type:
"bin2iso file.cue file.iso"
And that will turn the .BIN into a .ISO.
(This is where you .ISO people start reading again.)
Then, get Winimage. Start Winimage, and open the .ISO file. Extract all the files to a temporary directory. REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE CD, LISTED IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF WINIMAGE. Now, go to something that will let you burn off individual files, like Adaptec or Nero.
Drag and drop all the files that belong on the CD, plus whatever else you want, and make sure to LABEL THE CD CORRECTLY. Click on Create CD, and it'll burn all the files you extracted, with the right name, and there you have it, one burnt CD.
that's it. hope I helped.
You can find this tutorial and more in the tutorial section.

oh...thats even easier. Ones you have the BIN and CUE all you have to do is use any compressing app (winrar, winzip, winace, etc), I personaly like winace because it handels all the formats in one. select the file to compres and in the option tag choose the size and amount of file you want to split in. And you can keep doing this as much as you want...note that after the second time you will not be able to compress the size much more.

and if you those to pak it in Rar format you can use a SFV program (like pdSFV) to create a SFV file... the SFV files checks all the files and say if there are som corupted files (i think)

Question Has anyone ever downloaded one of these files then burned them only to find out that they don't work. When you have a copy protected CD you can create an image , you can burn the image to a cd just fine. But when is comes time to play. it keeps asking for the correct cd. Has this happend to anyone else ?

Antman: Thats almost a new thread you have started there. When you download all those files there is often an .nfo file somewhere, in this you can read if there is anything extra you need to do. Fx. sometimes you have to install the game and then copy a file from a /crack/ directory on the CD into the directory where you installed the game. If there is no crack then you have to get a NOCD patch for the game, this can be found on www.gamecopyworld.comUseally the game is already patched by whoever released the game (FLT=Fairlight DEV = Deviance etc.) I hope this helps. Regards ;D Wolf
