Hi,
I am new to this ftp stuff, but i already have downloaded some thing from some one. But now i want to start my own FTP server so that every one can download my gamez, appz and other stuff. I have bullet proof ftp and cuteftp. Must i need them to start my server or something else. Does somebody knows a tool or toturial that explains how to do this. Please reply. I have allot of stuff here.

You'll need a dedicated FTP server program, someone else can probaly tell you whats the best to use. How are you connected to the net? Cable: I dont know exactly how this works, so cant help you, but you have to know how to route a port to your computer. ISDN: Probaly too slow and your downtime will be apalling for us users. ADSL: Much better - if you have a 24/7 computer (means always on). But is it connected through a router or is it an adapter card in your computer? If it is a router you'll need to route port 21 or whatever you wish to use, to your PC with the FTP server program. (NAT entry add 10.0.0.230 21 tcp), and if you don't know what that means you are in trouble... Post your info and thoughts - it might help someone else to set up their own server.
